 Too many modern shows and Teacher Red For Ed Indiana Public Education Shirt movies default to the "humans are bastards" and only go downhill (Game of Thrones being by far the biggest culprit) from there. Your point is spot-on. But I will admit that in regards to Infinity War/Endgame, they played the grief scenes really well so it made an impact (for me at least). Most movies don’t bother with that. It’s 15 seconds or less of “wow, oh crap” and then right back into the action scenes. No impact. That's what I appreciated, on paper, about civil war. But the constant quips in the MCU keep the tone from ever complimenting the deeper ideas.  MCU occasionally has that problem of undercutting severity with levity. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was an especially egregious example. Although Infinity War and Endgame seemed to reel it back some.  Yup, the best stakes are always lower and more personal. The best Star Trek movie is about a dude who just really hates another dude and wants to blow up his space boat. For reasons that aren't even really explained in full.

 Oof, I attended an Beer The Glue Holding This 2020 Shitshow Together Shirt HP themed party and we were sorted based on cupcakes. There are colorings/candies inside which tells you which House you're in. This was super fun as it was just a very small party, but I can't imagine doing it at a wedding. There were way more cupcakes than the attendees at that party, so some of them was a dud. The ones who ate those first were like 'welp, looks like imma need to eat another one' lol.
