Honestly, the 100C isn't a Proud Black Preschool Teacher Shirt particularly helpful reference point when talking about the weather. I do boil water every day, but I never experience that temperature in the weather. 0C is very helpful because I experience that all the time. The weather is so much easier. 0C is freezing. 20C is a pleasant, warm day. 30C you'd better be near a lake or have ac because it's getting hotter. -20 you kind of want to die because the air hurts your face. Your car won't start and your snowsuit begins to harden from the cold, by the time you walk 8 blocks you are finding it hard to move. It takes you another decade to realize you are a chump and should have called in sick to work. For the most part, most things won't change. Sounds like Australia really. My parents use imperial for day to day sayings because they grew up with it before the conversion. I use metric and imperial interchangeably, in things like "it's about a foot away, or move it an inch" but they've became more terms of the phrase now. Height is still mostly feet and inches but that conversion is pretty easy.
