Also, the metric system is used in pretty much everything scientific so it would make it easier on everyone.

 Oof, I attended an Beer The Glue Holding This 2020 Shitshow Together Shirt HP themed party and we were sorted based on cupcakes. There are colorings/candies inside which tells you which House you're in. This was super fun as it was just a very small party, but I can't imagine doing it at a wedding.
