 I legit enjoy Star Trek 09 as a Giraffe Is My Spirit Animal Sweaters Shirt Trekkie. It's a far cry from Next Gen-style Trek, but people do forget how much of an action-adventure show TOS was and I actually appreciate the attempt to make it an epic blockbuster for non-fans while still respecting the original timeline. It was a pretty great compromise that made me excited for the franchise to go someplace new. That said, fucking lens flares. You know it's bad when JJ admitted his own wife complained. Into Darkness made me irrationally angry though. "You liked this scene in Khan? The worst part is the setup is quite good, but you can pinpoint the exact second the movie really turns to shit - when Cumberbatch reveals his identity. From then on, it's all a downhill trip. Beyond I liked. Not great, but a solid plot that felt more like classic Trek, but what it did lack was that kind of exciting sense of innovation that I felt 09 would lead into.

 Oof, I attended an Beer The Glue Holding This 2020 Shitshow Together Shirt HP themed party and we were sorted based on cupcakes. There are colorings/candies inside which tells you which House you're in. This was super fun as it was just a very small party, but I can't imagine doing it at a wedding. There were way more cupcakes than the attendees at that party, so some of them was a dud. The ones who ate those first were like 'welp, looks like imma need to eat another one' lol. I met my husband when I got a new job at a grocery store and the guy from the deli came up and yelled at me for hanging up on customers when I couldn't figure out the phone transfer process. He was that guy from the deli and anyway we're married now. I literally dread when anyone calls my work and asks to be transferred. I rarely do it and I don’t think I’ve ever done it successfully.
